SchemaVision

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

SchemaVision ("we", "our", the "App") generates Schema.org structured data (JSON-LD) for Shopify product catalogs. This policy explains what data the App accesses, why, and how it is handled.

What we access

When you install SchemaVision on your store, the App accesses, via the Shopify Admin API (scope: write_products):

The App sends product image URLs and text context (title, description, product type, vendor) to Anthropic's Claude API to infer missing descriptive attributes (color, material, pattern). Only what is needed to describe the product is sent.

What we do NOT collect

Because the App holds no end-customer personal data, GDPR customers/data_request and customers/redact requests have nothing to disclose or delete.

What we store

We store shop-scoped operational data in our database: product metadata, the Schema.org fields SchemaVision generates (deterministic and vision-inferred), confidence scores, coverage state, and an immutable change log of applied structured-data writes (for rollback and transparency).

Sub-processors

Data retention & deletion

When you uninstall the App, Shopify sends a shop/redact request (typically 48 hours later). On receipt, we permanently delete all data we hold for your shop - product metadata, generated fields, coverage state, change log, and sessions. You may also request deletion at any time by contacting us.

The structured-data metafields written to your products remain on your store until you remove them; you can roll back all applied changes from within the App before uninstalling.
